Rent vs. Buying

In todays economy, with unpredictable lay offs and relocations, people are choosing to rent housing versus buying a home. Renting offers short term obligation for those people who are uncertain what their financial standing will be in the near future. If your company decides to downsize or relocate, you will not be locked into a 30 year mortgage. Most apartment communities offer flexible lease terms and options to break a contract if something unfortunate, like a job loss, happens.

Also, with renting an apartment, you will get the convenience of onsite amenities and benefits such as fitness centers, swimming pools, business centers and 24 hour maintenance. You will never have to replace an appliance or do any home repairs. This saves time and money.


Friendly Reminders

  • Please keep your neighbors in mind when coming home during the late evening hours. We ask that you do your best to keep your voices low to avoid disturbing your neighbors.
  • For all pet owners please remember we have placed dog pots for your pets' waste all over the property and we sincerely ask that you use them.
  • Please make sure you also pick up after your pet at the pet park.
  • Please do not dispose of any unwanted furniture or other household items by the compactor. We do not have a way to remove these items. If you have large items that need to be removed please take these to the Springfield Rd Landfill, located off Nuckols Road, this landfill is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30am until 3:00pm.

Stop Signs

Please follow the posted speed signs and Stop Signs throughout our community. Several residents have noted people speeding and not obeying stop signs through out the community. For the safety of everyone, please pay attention to the posted signs.

FROZEN PIPES—A COLD WEATHER CULPRIT

Have you ever had the misfortune of cleaning up a smelly, wet and very cold mess on a freezing winter day? Thousands of people suffer through this nightmare every year. An eight-inch (3 millimeter) break in a pipe can leak up to 250 gallons of water a day, ruining furniture and keepsakes.

By taking a few simple precautions, you can save yourself the mess, keepsake loss and aggravation frozen pipes cause. Allow a trickle of water from your home's hot and cold faucets.

Open the doors of cabinets with water pipes running through them.

If you plan to be away, set the thermostat in your home no lower than 55 degrees before you leave. If you have a patio, make sure to keep the door closed at all times to keep the hot water heater from freezing.

Don't pile items on the plastic piping leading to and going from the hot water heater. They are easily broken and will result in leaks and damage to personal items.


We love dogs, but ....
Please Pick Up After Yours...

We take pride in community here at The Gardens, and we hope that you do as well! However, we have noticed several things we would like to bring to your attention.

Below is an excerpt from the Pet Addendum, executed by all residents at move-in:

Residents are responsible for the animal's actions at all times. The following rules were established to ensure animals or pets do not prevent any resident from enjoying the comforts of their apartment home and community.

Failure to follow these regulations may result in Management revoking the Resident's right to have a pet on the premises and/or fines.

b. Dog Specific Rules – Dogs are only allowed to defecate or urinate in areas away from the apartment premises. THE RESIDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP ANIMAL WASTE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A $200.00 PENALTY. This will be charged to the resident's account and is due immediately.

c. Any damage to shrubbery or landscaped areas will be the sole responsibility of the resident. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES.

Continued violation of this policy will result in a pet fine of $200.00 being applied to your account.


Need Space?

We have storage units available for those of you who need some extra space for the winter. Some people need a place to hide those special holiday gifts and others might just need to make room for all of the wonderful things received this holiday.

No matter the reason, you can never have too much space for storage. Just give us a call to inquire. Prices and availability change daily so don't delay!
