Second Street Festival - Saturday, Oct. 5 & Sunday, Oct. 6
Second Street Festival starts the month of festivals in Richmond. Celebrate the rich history of Richmond’s Jackson Ward and African-American community with the 2nd Street where you can hear live music on four stages, enjoy children’s activities, taste delicious food, shop in the marketplace, dance in the streets and renew old friendships. Free admission.
Food & Culture Festival - Saturday, Oct. 5
Stafford University is hosting its 3rd annual Food & Culture Festival on its Glen Allen Campus. Stop by for food trucks, beer, international cuisine, a kid’s corner, cultural entertainment, booths, door prizes, and three culinary competitions. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This festival is free too.

Come out to see your favorite ClearChannel radio DJ compete to be named best radio chef. Stratford University cooking teams, along with several area high school teams, will be competing for your business (and your vote) as they produce delicious cuisine from around the world.
Oystober Festival - Saturday, Oct. 5
This oyster-friendly festival has been popping up on everybody’s radar lately by combining delicious raw and grilled oysters with a family-friendly atmosphere including a Kids’ Zone with a moon-bounce and slides plus music all day long. At St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church. $2 donation suggested. Noon to 6 p.m.
