Only 11 days until the 43rd annual Richmond Oktoberfest! Be German for two nights with genuine Bavarian Oktoberfest entertainment including both, traditional and modern dance music, Bavarian Folk Dancing, and many other surprises. This party is in Richmond on October 21st and 22nd .

This is the oldest and best Oktoberfest celebration in Virginia; patterned after Munich’s world famous Oktoberfest, the Richmond Oktoberfest combines a great party with the preservation of German heritage.  

As usual there will be a large selection of typical German Oktoberfest foods, such as sizzling bratwurst, knockwurst, pork, chicken, potato salad, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, and landjaeger. So, eat authentic German food and drink a variety of German and domestic beers. This year we feature German Oktoberfest beer from Warsteiner, domestic Oktoberfest beer from Samuel Adams, and Miller Light, as well as alcohol free beer, as well as domestic and German wines. In addition we serve water and many of your favorite soft drinks.

There will be two great bands each evening, a local brass band to start off the program, our feature band, the Washington Continentals, who play the finest “Schunkelmusic”, and dance music for all ages. Dance to polkas, waltzes, folk dancing, American standards and more. Along with good German food and pastries; beer and wine, For those with a sweet tooth we are proud to have Reineke Bakery, which offers a large selection of favorite German pastries and bread.

And don’t forget the shopping opportunities for all things German, as well as the Kinder Korner with face painting and other children's activities. Everything combines to create Bavarian style "Gemütlichkeit".
