Winter is about to “officially” start. Living in an apartment in Glen Allen, VA there is plenty of outdoor winter activities. Try ice skating again. If you haven’t skated since you were a kid, there are some great ice skating rinks in the area.

Skate Nation - Families will love the Skate Nation in Glen Allen. This rink has an NHL-sized rink, as well as a large laser tag arena. It is open daily, hours vary, so call first before you come, or check the hours online.

Richmond Ice Zone - The Richmond Ice Zone in Richmond is another great place to go ice skating. It is owned by the people who run the Skate Nation in Glen Allen. If you have preschoolers, give the Frosty Tots program a try. That way, you can all ice skate as a family once the little people figure out how to stay up!
